We promote a positive health and safety culture and recognise that the process of communication, consultation and involvement of all employees, together with visible leadership and commitment from the top, are all essential features connected with the development of a successful health and safety culture. We strongly believe the development of a good health & safety culture is essential in achieving a high quality service for our customers.

Our policy is reviewed several times a year by our SHE team. Our approach on each site is to:

  • Achieve Zero Accidents
  • Implement OHSAS 18001 certified health and safety programme
  • Update training for all our employees
  • Targeted communication every month for all site based employees and supply chain
  • Monthly Sire Audits

We ensure that all our leadership teams on site have the appropriate training and competency

Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)

This in an industry recognised five day course which enables our teams to manage health and safety on site.

Site Supervisor Safety raining Scheme (SSSTS)
This course enables our home grown site based supervisor the opportunity to lead their teams and provide a basic introduction to health and safety.

Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS)
We ensure that all our site based teams are accredited to the CSCS scheme or equivalent.

Asbestos Awareness
It is important that our employees are aware of asbestos, our teams are UKATA accredited.

Health and Wellbeing

We will ensure that our employees are looked after, and we will do what is reasonable and practical to prevent work related illness.

We integrate our OHSAS 18001 management system into our work activities.

We assess job specific activities and reduce them with appropriate control measures.

We provide personal protective equipment and how to use at our innovative induction programmes.

We take zero tolerance to drug and alcohol.

Ensure there are adequate first aid staff and facilities on site.

We host innovative on site health sessions to encourage healthy eating.

We provide clean, and warm welfare facilities.

We provide occupational health advice for all employees.

If any employee does become ill, we manage their absence in a way that they feel support and helps them to return to work as soon as they can.
